Privacy Policy

The short version

We measure how the site is used, in two ways, described in full below. One of them — Google Analytics — sets cookies. Neither is used for advertising, and nothing here follows you around the web. The only personal information we hold is what you choose to type into the contact form, and we use it to reply to you. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for marketing.

Who we are

Nord Sky Labs is a digital agency and growth consultancy based in Michigan, United States. For anything in this policy, write to privacy@nordskylabs.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you submit the contact form, we receive:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Your company, if you enter one
• The project types you tick
• Anything you write in the comments box

Information collected automatically. Our host keeps standard server logs of requests to the site — IP address, browser type, the page requested and a timestamp. These are ordinary infrastructure logs used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything from the form.

Analytics. We measure traffic in two ways. Neither is used for advertising, and neither tells us who you are.

• Vercel Web Analytics — a counter built into our host. It sets no cookies and the data is not associated with your IP address; visitors are counted using a hash Vercel derives from the incoming request. It is served from this domain rather than a third party's.
• Google Analytics — used to understand how people find the site and which pages hold their attention. This one does set cookies, described under “Cookies” below. The tag loads from Google's servers and the measurements are processed by Google on our behalf. Google states that it does not log or store IP addresses in this product: your address is used to work out an approximate location and to filter spam, then discarded.

What either one shows us is aggregate — page views, referrers, approximate location, browser and device type. We cannot pick you out of it, and we do not try to.

What we do not collect. There are no advertising or social media pixels anywhere on this site. Google's advertising features are switched off in the tag itself, so nothing here feeds ad targeting or builds a profile of you for marketing. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies on this site: _ga and a second one beginning _ga_. They last up to two years and hold a random identifier, which is what lets Google tell one visitor from another and one visit from the next. There is nothing in them that you typed — no name, no email. Nothing else on this site sets a cookie.

You can refuse them and the site will work exactly the same. Blocking cookies for this site in your browser, browsing privately, or installing Google's Analytics opt-out add-on will each stop Google Analytics from recording your visit. Most ad and tracker blockers already block it, and we have not tried to work around them.

Why we use it

Contact form submissions are used for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to discuss working together. Server logs are used to operate and secure the site, and analytics to judge which pages are worth keeping and where people arrive from. That is the whole list.

We will not add you to a mailing list on the strength of a contact form submission.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and deliver email. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Vercel — hosts the website, runs the function that handles form submissions, and provides the cookieless analytics described above
• Resend — delivers form submissions to our inbox
• Google Analytics — measures traffic to the site
• Google Workspace — the inbox that receives and stores that email

All of them are United States based. If you are writing to us from outside the US, your information will be processed in the US.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our email for as long as the conversation is useful, and afterwards as an ordinary business record. If we do not end up working together, we will delete an enquiry on request. Server logs are retained by our host on their own schedule, typically a matter of weeks. Vercel's analytics are aggregate from the moment they are recorded and are kept by Vercel on their own schedule. Google Analytics data is held for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Neither contains a record tied to you, so there is nothing in them to look up or remove on request — the opt-out under “Cookies” above is the control that actually applies.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email privacy@nordskylabs.com and we will action it — there is no form to fill in and you do not need to give a reason.

Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation. We will honour a request of this kind from anyone who makes one, wherever you are, rather than checking whether a particular law applies to you first.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so plainly than promise otherwise. Please do not send sensitive information — financial details, passwords, anything confidential — through the contact form.

Links to other sites

Where we link out, those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not cover them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant — new tracking, a new purpose for your information — we will say so here rather than quietly amending the text.

22 September 2026. We added Vercel Web Analytics, described under “What we collect” above. It is the first measurement of any kind on this site; before that date the site collected nothing beyond ordinary server logs and what you typed into the contact form. It is cookieless and we still do not know who you are.

Later the same day. We added Google Analytics alongside it. That is the first cookie this site has ever set, and the first time any of this data has been processed by a third party, so we are saying so here rather than letting you find it in a cookie jar. Its advertising features are switched off, and the opt-out is under “Cookies” above.
